Matthew is an Associate in our litigation and dispute management group, specialising in commercial litigation and dispute resolution. He generally advises clients on high-value, complex, strategically important contentious matters.

Matthew has supported clients in resolving a range of commercial and contractual disputes, including disputes concerning bribery, IT disputes and breach of contract claims. Matthew also has experience of advising clients on investigations (both compliance and regulator-led) and contentious insolvency matters.

Matthew has advised clients in a range of sectors, including banking, IT and automotive (including a Formula One team).

Matthew has significant in-house experience, having spent almost three years in the in-house legal team of the global headquarters of a FTSE 100 listed company, in addition to a six month secondment to the commercial litigation team at one of the UK’s largest banking groups. During his time in-house, Matthew advised on both contentions and non-contentious legal issues, including a broad range of commercial and strategic corporate matters.
