Tim is a principal associate in Eversheds' commercial team after qualifying as a solicitor in 1999. Tim specialises in the areas of public funding , including State aid and use of structural funds, and data protection and freedom of information rules
Examples of Tim' recent experience include:
- Advicing a number of public bodies on state aid and structural fund issues in respect of the application of ERDF and UK funding towards JESSICA and JEREMIE fund projects.
- Advising various private sector bodies in respect of applications for funding under the Regional Growth Fund.
- Advising a number of public bodies on the state aid issues arising out of public funding for the roll out of next generation broadband and applications for funding from BDUK.
- Advising on state aid issues relating to Local asset based vehicles and public private partnerships.
- advising on contractual issues relating to Data.
- advising on the transfer of data offshore and outside of the European Economic Area and drafting of agreements governing such transfers.
- undertaking data protection audits for entities operating within both the public sector and the private sector.
- advising various public bodies on responding to Freedom of Information requests and
Tim is also a regular speaker on State aid, data protection and freedom of information externally and also provides internal training within Eversheds on these subjects.
