Practice notes

Qiao is a member of our international energy and infrastructure team based in Beijing. He focuses his practice on representing Chinese SOEs in energy sector in their cross-border acquisitions, international joint ventures as well as construction and commercial disputes. His recent experience includes advising:

  • CNPC and its major subsidiaries in their various upstream investments in the UAE and Iraq
  • CNNC and its major subsidiaries in their various major acquisitions and international joint ventures
  • A key Chinese SOE in its bid to develop a gas-fired power plant in the UK
  • a consortium in relation to its tender for a major high speed rail project in Southeast Asia
  • a consortium led by CDB in its financing for CGN’s investment in and construction of Hinkley Point C nuclear plant
