David is a partner in real estate litigation, specialising in the resolution of property disputes.
David acts for institutional landlords, commercial tenants and major landowners across most economic sectors. He advises extensively on retail property asset management and recently won the reported rent review case of Martineau Galleries v Birmingham City Council.
David has many clients in the Energy and Natural Resources Sector and advises gas and electricity distribution and transmission licence holders on contentious issues relating to wayleaves, easements and land compensation claims. He also advises on land rights issues for on-shore oil and gas exploration and production.
David is a fully qualified Solicitor Advocate and a member of the Property Litigation Association. He has extensive experience of court litigation, arbitration, expert determination and Alternative Dispute Resolution processes including mediation. He is ranked as a leading individual in Chambers and Partners Legal Directory and The Legal 500 2014 editions
