Shelley is a principal associate in our Company Commercial Practice Group where she advises a range of clients in the private sector and public sector in the UK and internationally on all aspects of company law, joint ventures, mergers and acquisitions and investments (including private equity).
Her recent experience includes: advising on a solar PV project in Morocco; advising on disposals and acquisitions of solar PV and onshore wind projects in the UK; advising on an acquisition of a portfolio of hydro-electric schemes; advising one of the UK's largest property holding groups on its corporate acquisitions; advising a mortgage lender on its acquisition of a finance specialist; advising a cloud-based software company in relation to investments made in the company; advising an online automobile financier in relation to its investments; establishing a new fund to support growing businesses in the life sciences sector; and advising a leading private equity house (with a focus on the financial services sector) in relation to a number of its investments.
Prior to joining Eversheds Sutherland, Shelley trained at and subsequently worked as an associate at a market leading and award winning funds practice where she assisted with the establishment, restructuring and ongoing business operations of funds for a variety of Europe's largest fund managers. Her experience includes being seconded to work in the legal team of Europe's largest hedge fund manager.
In 2017, Shelley was highlighted as one of 30 ‘young lawyers and accountants to watch’.
