Eversheds Sutherland (International) welcomes new pensions Partner

    Eversheds Sutherland (International) has welcomed new pensions Partner Anthea Whitton.

    Anthea, who joins from Squire Patton Boggs, advises companies, trustees and retail pension providers on all matters connected with pension schemes.

    Anthea’s particular expertise is in advising on issues arising in connection with mergers, acquisitions, scheme funding, scheme change/benefit re-design projects, investment including bulk purchase annuity policies and winding up.

    Recognised as a ‘leading individual’ by both Legal 500 and Chambers UK, Anthea has worked with a number of pension providers to create DC master trusts, regularly providing specialist advice on DC pension provision.

    Eversheds Sutherland has welcomed a number of new faces to its pensions team in the last 12 months, including Partner Georgina Rankin and Principal Associate Andy Wright.

    The team has also received more than ten industry accolades for excellence in the last five years, most recently being named ‘Pension Lawyers of the Year’ at the Professional Pensions UK Pension Awards, 2017.
