DealMakers lists Eversheds Sutherland in the top 10 legal advisors for unlisted deals

    We are pleased to announce that our commercial team has been listed in the top 10 legal advisors for unlisted deals by deal flow and volume by DealMakers for Q2 2019.

    The Johannesburg team was privileged to advise Bystronic Sales AG (incorporated in Switzerland) on an unlisted acquisition from a South African entity of its entire sub-Saharan business (including the South African business) in respect of the sale and aftermarket services of sheet metal cutting and processing a range of products. The deal value amounted to an estimated R32.5 million.

    The Durban team advised its global client Barrows Design and Manufacturing in the sale of one of its divisions, which designs and manufactures the corrugate cardboard display products use to merchandise products in retail, to Barrows Khula Proprietary Limited. The purchase consideration in respect of the sale was R55 million.
