Further to my previous note, I am writing to confirm that, following a period of consultation and a Partner vote, Eversheds LLP will be entering into a combination with Sutherland Asbill & Brennan LLP (Sutherland) to create a new global entity, Eversheds Sutherland. The combined firm will be formally launched on 1 February 2017.
This is a significant development for Eversheds and in line with our strategic objective to develop a truly global offering for our clients.
Our shared vision with Sutherland is that in joining forces, we will be able to offer the clients of both firms access to a broader and importantly, a global service offering of the highest quality.
Eversheds Sutherland will comprise more than 4,000 people, including over 700 Partners and operate from 61 offices across 29 countries. The firm will be led by joint Chief Executives of both Eversheds and Sutherland, supported by a Global Executive.
I will remain your contact, although I would of course be delighted to introduce you to Partner colleagues in the USA as the need arises.
I look forward to bringing you further news on Eversheds Sutherland in the New Year and in the meantime, thank you for taking the time to read about what we consider to be an exciting development in the way that we will be able to work with our clients across the globe in the future.
