19-02-2021
On Thursday 11 February 2021, the Pension Schemes Act 2021 received royal assent.
None of the provisions is in force yet but there is a lot in there for trustees and sponsors to prepare for.
Although the detail needs to be fleshed out in regulations, these are expected to follow quite swiftly in the coming weeks and months. The Act contains enough information to start getting ready and, given the scope of the legislation, we would recommend that trustees and sponsors start their planning now.
Our Guide to the Pension Schemes Act will take you through what the new requirements are and what you can be doing now. As and when we have draft regulations and regulatory guidance, we will update it.
We hope you find it useful.
